Used to shop at Audio T in Epsom - nearest NAIM dealer and thoroughly top establishment. They closed down about three years ago. I was 😥

The shop over the road has just got it's NAIM Dealership status.

Happy days are hear again. 😀

Bought myself a 2nd hand QUAD 606 MK 2 recently , am using it with a pair of impulse H7 horn speakers , very happy indeed.
Next year i shall be looking to upgrade the CD player and will be considering NAIM's various models , if you have one let me know what you think of it,and which model it is.
Ta in advance.

Second-hand refurbished CDX.

Detailed, fast, musical. Considering upgrade to CDX2.2 as soon as Tomtom Audio can provide a "pre-loved" model. Only way I can afford NAIM, but I wouldn't consider anything else anyway... 😉

Been promoted and increase in pay. Mrs Monkeysfeet has gone over to a competitor in her line of work, again more pay. Plus she was escorted off the premises of her old job as she is going to a competitor, so she works her notice on gardening leave. The only problem is she is now finding jobs for me to do around the house 😕

I like what you did there.

No good news here but no bad news either, so that in itself is good news surely?

Got a job interview on thursday. Though this is offset by one of my cats clinging to life in the vets currently... 🙁

Just worked out a client owes us £19k.

And they're a good payer, when I can get my head around their invoicing system. Which I've just done.

None of the money will be spent on hi-fi.

😀

I'm in the same club as weeksy, which is a huge relief because we will soon have the money to finish building our next house.
Well, at least enough to make it inhabitable whilst we finish it. That may take a little longer...

Pay rise here! 5%, but it's been a while. 2015 sees me as show manager for Bespoked, running site office for mayhem and another pat event, plus my very own first event. Can't wait!

I'm thoroughly fed up with most aspects of life, but a colleague who is better qualified than me has just been offered the chance to move onward and upward and it couldn't happen to a nicer guy, so kind of second hand GOOD news.

The only island in a sea of piss is that I have sold (subject to contract etc.) my late Mum's house, though will be sad to see it go as I grew up there and it will end my last remaining connection to Yorkshire. Apart from that work (self-employed) has dried up due to government / local government funding cuts, my love life is at a fairly low point, and I'm still getting over my Mum's death.

Not had any good news as such but any morning that I wake up and can wiggle my toes and wipe my own arse will set me up for a good day, no matter what else happens throughout the day it doesn't matter as I remind myself that worries are superficial and mean nothing compared to having my health and being mobile. 😉

Good news: Stitches came out last Friday. I can now drink tea and eat solid food without making a mess. New helmet is in the post, i hope it arrives by the weekend so I can ride the new/crashed bike before the winter sets in

Bad news: dead end job, no social life and winter is coming

Mrs Ti_pin gave birth to twins four months ago, love em to pieces. Mind, jeeezus how hard work is two.
Climbed a F7a at the weekend, my first, wahooo.
Ti Ibis came back from Steve Potts repaired, now looking for the time to rebuild her. Dilemma retro build OR back to her SS guise.
Two wool jerseys due for delivery today from ibis, snuggly.

wow, it looks like I've have had a good few months. The truth is its been a hellish four months but I've learned to look for the joy in-between pain and trauma. You should do the same. Nice thread.

Voluntary redundancy at work, then had 2 weeks off and start new job on Monday. New car yesterday, and booked a week at Ciclo Montana with 5 mates last night. Been quite stressful handing in my notice after 16 years, but getting the package and managing to get a better job has made it all worth it.

In similarly good news to pictonroad, my wifes 12 week scan was all good and still into our 16th week now things seem to be going ok. Our first and it's hard to contain the excitement. All the bad news elsewhere that seems to keep coming our way is just noise frankly.

@loddrik; our condolences

@pictonroad; that's a proper proud and happy dad photo - congratulations!

My good news is that the school Rector (Headmistress) signed off my CPD application to do a 3-day wood turning workshop next Easter; I'm doing it during my holiday and it does eat into a fair chunk of her budget. Haven't yet broken the news to 'Project Management' that I'd like to get a wood lathe for the garage...

In general my life is good, I never really have complaints.

But this week I've just become mortgage free at the age of 32, with a nice place in central Edinburgh.
I'm also expecting VERY positive funding news today for a local community cycling project I've been involved with.
