Used to shop at Audio T in Epsom - nearest NAIM dealer and thoroughly top establishment. They closed down about three years ago. I was 😥
The shop over the road has just got it's NAIM Dealership status.
Happy days are hear again. 😀
Bought myself a 2nd hand QUAD 606 MK 2 recently , am using it with a pair of impulse H7 horn speakers , very happy indeed.
Next year i shall be looking to upgrade the CD player and will be considering NAIM's various models , if you have one let me know what you think of it,and which model it is.
Ta in advance.
Second-hand refurbished CDX.
Detailed, fast, musical. Considering upgrade to CDX2.2 as soon as Tomtom Audio can provide a "pre-loved" model. Only way I can afford NAIM, but I wouldn't consider anything else anyway... 😉
I'm getting a payrise before the end of the month.
Wife asked me if I wanted a Mu-So for christmas. Well yes, of course.
Been promoted and increase in pay. Mrs Monkeysfeet has gone over to a competitor in her line of work, again more pay. Plus she was escorted off the premises of her old job as she is going to a competitor, so she works her notice on gardening leave. The only problem is she is now finding jobs for me to do around the house 😕
Wife asked me if I wanted a Mu-So for christmas. Well yes, of course.
Outstanding.
Happy days are hear again.
I like what you did there.
No good news here but no bad news either, so that in itself is good news surely?
Had any GOOD news lately?
Nope, my life is in the crapper, big time. Don't even want to go home anymore.
Ordered my new bike on Sunday 🙂
Hard riding has made my legs hurt, really hurt 😀
Got a job interview on thursday. Though this is offset by one of my cats clinging to life in the vets currently... 🙁

Chin up Solo.
I got a couple of orders today 🙂 (only small ones mind)
Good luck Solo and Loddrik
Recently been told I can start riding bikes again, which is nice.
what's up with your home solo?
Our old Youview box has gone haywire is horribly unreliable. Today we got a free one delivered for a product test.
Just worked out a client owes us £19k.
And they're a good payer, when I can get my head around their invoicing system. Which I've just done.
None of the money will be spent on hi-fi.
😀
Accepted an offer on our house yesterday. Doesn't get 6 ah better than that!
I'm in the same club as weeksy, which is a huge relief because we will soon have the money to finish building our next house.
Well, at least enough to make it inhabitable whilst we finish it. That may take a little longer...
Spesh moving to shimano rather than formula brakes on the camber evo in 2015
I GOT PAID!
Really good news as I haven't had a pay cheque in over a year as I have been back to uni re-training.
Yep, dissertation passed woohooo. Just awaiting ratification then I'm done. 🙂 🙂
It's my birthday
£2000.00 out of the blue from a great grandfather's will :-)Mrs Nipper has spent it already 🙁
Loddrick - i hope your cat is feeling better soon.
Pay rise here! 5%, but it's been a while. 2015 sees me as show manager for Bespoked, running site office for mayhem and another pat event, plus my very own first event. Can't wait!
you all know my good news, it is the best i have ever had.
Take care Solo & Loddrick.
It was sunny today.
Finally got the job offer I've been waiting for with the right terms meaning I'm not losing money. Maybe I'll get a decent night's sleep tonight, that'd be a bonus!
Nope, thoroughly fed up with life.
Congrats to all those that are winning
Wife asked me if I wanted a Mu-So for christmas.
I had to google that - guess how disappointed I was when I found out what it was 😕
B&W Z2 price drop. Bought one for my girlfriend so we can listen to tunes at her place too.
I'm thoroughly fed up with most aspects of life, but a colleague who is better qualified than me has just been offered the chance to move onward and upward and it couldn't happen to a nicer guy, so kind of second hand GOOD news.
Going to Spain on Saturday for a few days with my Dad. New company car delivered today - unexpected upgrade. Had my offer accepted on a new house (Weeksy, are we buying your house?)
Christmas bonus was confirmed today - 12.8% of my gross salary ;o)
will be taking my two little girls on a surprise trip to Disney at Christmas as a result.
The only island in a sea of piss is that I have sold (subject to contract etc.) my late Mum's house, though will be sad to see it go as I grew up there and it will end my last remaining connection to Yorkshire. Apart from that work (self-employed) has dried up due to government / local government funding cuts, my love life is at a fairly low point, and I'm still getting over my Mum's death.
I have and turns out it will be a girl arriving feb 5th. Happy Days 😀
Hope your cat is ok loddrick, I'd be gutted if I lost either of my two so understand what you're going through.
Not had any good news as such but any morning that I wake up and can wiggle my toes and wipe my own arse will set me up for a good day, no matter what else happens throughout the day it doesn't matter as I remind myself that worries are superficial and mean nothing compared to having my health and being mobile. 😉
A friend since the 70s got diabetes but put himself on 500 cpd for 2 weeks and it seems to have gone. Great Joy!
Good news: Stitches came out last Friday. I can now drink tea and eat solid food without making a mess. New helmet is in the post, i hope it arrives by the weekend so I can ride the new/crashed bike before the winter sets in
Bad news: dead end job, no social life and winter is coming
I've little news to report either good or bad.
It's a sunny, cold autumn morning again. 8)
first long distance MCC trial on saturday and car never missed a beat.. went round with my dad who's 80.. it was his first ever motorsport event spectating or competing.. proper lad and dad day out.
Mrs Ti_pin gave birth to twins four months ago, love em to pieces. Mind, jeeezus how hard work is two.
Climbed a F7a at the weekend, my first, wahooo.
Ti Ibis came back from Steve Potts repaired, now looking for the time to rebuild her. Dilemma retro build OR back to her SS guise.
Two wool jerseys due for delivery today from ibis, snuggly.
wow, it looks like I've have had a good few months. The truth is its been a hellish four months but I've learned to look for the joy in-between pain and trauma. You should do the same. Nice thread.
Well it's a sunny but cold morning and I woke at 5:30am after a good nights sleep, wild mushroom omelette form breakfast. Stuff is not perfect but it's great to be alive and live in Yorkshire.
BT have just rolled out fibre to my local cabinet and I've ordered Infinity broadband. Should take my 1M speed up to 30M+ (fingers crossed).
I have and turns out it will be a girl arriving feb 5th. Happy Days
Congratulations.
If it's your first (or your second come to think of it) then ride your bike as much as possible beforehand!
Voluntary redundancy at work, then had 2 weeks off and start new job on Monday. New car yesterday, and booked a week at Ciclo Montana with 5 mates last night. Been quite stressful handing in my notice after 16 years, but getting the package and managing to get a better job has made it all worth it.
After some complications I'd count this as good news.

Superb picton. Life begins now!.
You win the thread. Congratulations! 😀
picton - huzzah! its a job for life, one you'll love and one you will certainly at times hate and find tough. enjoy. and don't forget the bikes!
Great picture! Congrats!
No good news but I really can't believe how well life has turned out and I count my blessings every day.
Congratulations Picton - that is truly awesome, she's beautiful. Hope her and Mrs Picton are all good.
Thanks Chakaping - she'll be my second. I'm going to be surrounded by women, even the the 2 cats we have are girls!
Mrs cloudnine is in fact not pregnant with child no.4
(spent the last week having a pregnancy scare)... Thank gawd!!! and hallelujah!
Time for the vets! Just get mine done, 3 is enough!
Our Christmas fair is cancelled.
No body is going to get Tombola .
In similarly good news to pictonroad, my wifes 12 week scan was all good and still into our 16th week now things seem to be going ok. Our first and it's hard to contain the excitement. All the bad news elsewhere that seems to keep coming our way is just noise frankly.
Oh.. won the giant hamper at the kids harvest festival!! Some tight arse had the cheek of putting an opened carton of skimmed milk in it and a tin of r-fried beans. Otherwise lots of goodies in it
Air Canada are giving me €600 to say sorry for robbing me of a days riding in Whistler (or, delaying my flight 24 hrs, up to you.)
My cat didn't make it.... 🙁
(sorry it isn't good news)
Sorry for your loss loddrik
🙁
Had any GOOD news lately?
He is risen!
@loddrik; our condolences
@pictonroad; that's a proper proud and happy dad photo - congratulations!
My good news is that the school Rector (Headmistress) signed off my CPD application to do a 3-day wood turning workshop next Easter; I'm doing it during my holiday and it does eat into a fair chunk of her budget. Haven't yet broken the news to 'Project Management' that I'd like to get a wood lathe for the garage...
Girlfriend said she loves me 😀
Youngest has stopped high velocity liquid pooping. He has however terrorised my wife along with his big brother this evening while I had my first ever climbing wall lesson.
Picton great picture
In general my life is good, I never really have complaints.
But this week I've just become mortgage free at the age of 32, with a nice place in central Edinburgh.
I'm also expecting VERY positive funding news today for a local community cycling project I've been involved with.
Unexpectedly got just short of £5k because of something I queried with my bank.
Stunning ride home last night - all layered orange clouds and blowing leaves.
Crystal sparkling ride in this morning.
Much appreciated annual bonus letter before 0830. Winter kit upgrade shopping this weekend!
Got my Sustrans Ride leader qualification confirmed.
Beer festivals, Halloween events and new bike on the way.
its all good 🙂
