Annoyingly my Wife's Gmail account has been hacked as dodgy emails have been sent to all contacts.
Is the only solution to delete the account and create another?
can you not just change the password?
change password and logout all sessions ....
okay will try that
Set up 2 factor authentication while you're at it.
Hacked or spoofed?
When mine got hacked a few years back the gmail guys were really helpful. Basically reset passwords and 2nd level authentication is the start. Not too painful to do.
As above. Also, malware scan.
malware scan first (or use a totally different pc to reset passwd etc.)
be silly to reset it from a PC (or even dodgy wifi) if there's a keylogger logging your new passwd.
in gmail, scroll to bottom, and you can click on details of recent login activity to see if there's been anything actually dodgy.
Thanks all!
Two factor authentication is such a massive improvement I don't know why you wouldn't use it. It's a little bit of a faff to set up if you use several devices or browsers, but once done it's invisible and much more secure.

I use it most placed it's available now although It's a bit of a faff on PayPal as I now can't pay for anything With the iOS paypal app or through the ebay app.
