Ticsmon jr age 11 is really into his guitar at the moment and has a half an hour a week lesson. Are there any decent apps or websites with backing tracks he play along to. Likes rock/indie music. Thanks

Rocksmith2014 - its not free & you need to buy the special cable, but seems to have a following. I think it's now available on consoles as well as pc and mac.
Ultimate guitar has lots of tabs.
