that can also be carried in a gig bag?
am hopefully going to buy a pocket pod this morning.my reason for getting one is to try and get me out of the house (i rarely go out 🙁 .am planning on learning some covers, then recording myself playing them in various spots that i like riding my mtb to (within a close distance to home 😉 what might you recommend guitarists 🙂
p.s am NOT danny macaskill so cannot do both at once 😳
here's a pic of what i'm on about for anyone who doesn't know what a pocket pod is [img] [/img]

Not quite sure if it'll do what you're asking, but would a Vox Amplug (in whatever flavour suits you best) be enough? Has a headphone and aux output jacks, fits in the palm of your hand and runs off AAA's.

Apols if I've got the wrong end of the stick 😉

I don't have a clue how it measures up to other products, but I bought a Smokey Amp for my Dad years back. Still getting good reviews by the sounds of it:

With a Pod or similar, you're probably better off with a full range amp rather than a guitar-specific one. Using a dedicated guitar amp with an amp-modeller kinda defeats the purpose really.
I use a small Mackie Monitor with a pocket Pod and it's not bad at all. Not battery powered though.

That said, either an acoustic guitar or headphones into the pod would probably be easier!

Mackie srm 150. As above

Or Yamaha thr5 battery powered

Or one of the smaller battery powered Roland cube range

Roland MicroCube? They have a couple of clean settings which would mean you wouldn't be colouring whats coming out of the Pod. Sound reasonably decent (for the size/cost) on their own as well.

well i just got back from swindon (just in time for the tdf :-).i did plan on getting a pocket pod,but unfortunately the shop didn't have one in stock.so i got one of these bad boys instead 😀 [IMG] [/IMG] when i asked if the shop had anything similar to a pocket pod (mainly some type of battery powered amp),the guy showed me one of these.could i have a go on one,i asked.of course was the reply. after apologizing in advance for my awful playing 😳 the guy duely set it up for me to try (along with a rather nice vintage black beauty style guitar/as it was the closest they had to my lemon drop).
well my friends let me tell you i was blown away by this diddy little amp (i play through a mustang 1 at home).it certainly packed a punch 😯 .even though it doesn't have anywhere near the amount of amp models/effects as both the mustang 1/pocket pod, once i heard it,i just knew i had to buy it (even though it was more money than i originally planned to spend.i am very happy with it,and i cannot wait to learn motorcycle emptiness in it's entirety (also have a sunny day too),to give it full beans up on roundway hill 😀 (i will call it mountain biking emptiness 😉 let the guitar shapes begin 😀
