Does anyone know about Green Man festival?
It's sold out already and there aren't any tickets flying around.
Anyone here got any insight into where I should keep an eye out?
Thanks.

Green Man festival Facebook page.
Gumtree, but collect in person.
Regarding knowing about it, yes. It's a great location, has good bands and sells out early every year.

Cheers
It's a brilliant festival, I went last year, enjoyed every minute. It's nice and compact, only takes a few minutes to walk between the main venues, there loads of great food and beer, and especially music. Earlybird tickets went on sale months ago and I bought mine as soon as they were announced, and the main sale has been going for some considerable time, I get regular Fb updates.
I hope you get lucky this year, but if not then register with their web site to get notice of the earlybird sale next year.
I only have one ticket, so nothing for sale, I'm afraid.
Out of this year's entire lineup, there's only one act who I've seen before, that's PJ Harvey, but there are loads who I've heard on 6Music who I've heard before, or who's music I own, who I'm really looking forward to finally getting to see.
PJ Harvey is the reason I want to go. I'm also missing Wilderness, my local festival, so I'm extra sad!
DD - when do they send the tickets out?
I've had mine ages.
Not had mine yet, but it's not until next month, I expect them to go out in the next week or two; can't remember when I got mine last year.
Jkomo, it might be worth contacting the festival direct, to see if they get any returns, you never know, one or two of a group might have to drop out, it's certainly worth keep checking various sources, like their Fb page, and putting out feelers on there, someone might suddenly have one become available.
Don't give up yet.
I just checked back, and Dice announced Greenman tickets on sale on the 15th of March, so you do need to get in pretty early, and I booked mine before that via the earlybird sale.

They still have a few left get in now!
Just checked back to my original booking confirmation with Ticketline, and it was the 29th of September last year, so you really have to get in fairly early, but it's not like the insanity that goes with Glastonbury tickets!
Viagogo want £600 a ticket!!
Yeah, viagogo is an utter rip-off. Please don't buy from there. Market suggests they're pretty rare though if asking that much.
Still reckon your best bet would be to sign up and set an alert on twickets. If any come on sale, you'll get a chance to buy.
Another re-sale at face value site is Scarlet Mist. I did check there after your OP and there was nothing.
Other than that, Facebook or festival forums. Looks like you'll have to put in a bit of work but there's plenty of time yet.
EDIT: Green Man and twickets have set up a dedicated buy/sell site: http://greenman.twickets.co.uk/ Nothing on there presently.
Yes I'm onTwickets, missed a couple earlier in the week.
Have you throught about End of the Road? A fair bit of crossover on the line up, lovely venue. Good food and drink.
Dull nightlife after the bands end (but not sure that's a big thing at Green Man either)
I hadn't checked what Viagogo were asking, it was very much a late evening/last minute thing I found, but I'd reiterate what dd says, and what I said above, keep scouring the festival's own feeds, and in future register with the festivals you're particularly interested in, and their Fb/Twitter feeds.
Most of the ticket resellers are just touts, and should be treated with the contempt they deserve, but some insist on prices being kept to face value plus a small extra to cover original booking fees, postage, etc.
Good luck, I really hope something turns up, Greenman is such a nice little festival, my first experience was so positive that I see no reason not to keep going back; certainly I'd much rather go there than Glastonbury.
Simons- I'll check it out.
I love my small festivals- Wilderness, Fno6 etc.
Can't really ever imagine doing Glasto.
Pretty sure there are still tickets for EotR if that's suitable. Agreed that the programming/ethos of the two are similar as well as the country park type environment. Have you been to Glastonbury CZ? Plenty of attendees who ignore the big stages and just concentrate on the Green Fields and acoustic stages. pretty much self contained for that sort of thing. Though granted getting in/out is still going to be more challenging than Green Man!

Once upon a time, I gave it serious thought, but, to be perfectly honest, I'm getting too old for all that, I just can't be doing with the huge numbers of people, and the distance you have to walk between the various venues; the arthritis in my left knee lets me know I've been on my feet enough as it is!
This is the main stage arena when it's busy:
I think that's Songhoy Blues playing when I took that
When it's not so busy, you can see the terracing where you can sit and watch:
If you look at the line up though, you'd probably be content with a couple of trips out to the big stages and staying put around the quieter areas. To be fair though, it's a decade since I've been so it might be rubbish now. I know there was a year at EotR which was massively overpopulated with trendy ****s because of some other festival cancellations. Back to normal now.
A friend of mine does Green Man with his wife and 2 daughters each year and Green Man with his brother and a few others. He like both.
Glastonbury is still enormous fun but exhausting. You could turn up late on Thursday at EoTR and leave and go straight to work on Monday. Glastonbury leaves you still decompressing on Wednesday.

While that's certainly true, there were three headliners who I'd have loved to see this year, so that means getting somewhere close enough to see them, then traipsing off to see someone else god-knows how far away!
And it's just having to deal with all the hassle of getting in with so many people these days, the hike back to the tent...
I just like the smaller, more intimate scale of Greenman, and the ease of getting around without fighting your way through large crowds of people.
I went to Reading a couple of times back in the 90's, and tbh that was big enough back then, I think I'd find Glastonbury too claustrophobic now, and I'm not someone who really gets claustrophobic.
