Noticed a few bands I like are performing at this festival. Anyone been to this festival? Any comments or advice? Can you get in with your own food and booze and whatever else? Do you need to drag your tent for miles from the car park?

I went 07,08,09. Fabulous, very relaxed. Great stages. Good food and beer, if not exactly cheap. Great for kids. Enjoyment depends on the weather somewhat obviously and it absolutely **** it down the first two years I went iirc. Proximity to the camping area depends on when you arrive and a dose of luck but we're not talking Glastonbury here ffs. It's a very small festival in a beautiful site. I'd take the bike though and head to the hills above the site because there's some great riding to be had.

I've got family who've worked at it every year since it opened (they work for Glanusk Estate), very well run.

The site is not too big so easy to get around, about a mile in total length. Last year they put a temporary bridge at the bottom of the site to cross the Usk and made the walk into Crickhowell much safer than the previous walk along the A40.
From what I can gather bringing your own supplies is encouraged as there are no major supermarkets nearby - Morrisons at Brecon ~10 miles away and Waitrose in Abergavenny ~ 8 miles. You can pop into Crickhowell for basics and there's the usual catering vans on-site too. There's always the option of nipping to one of the local pubs for drink/food too. The Coach And Horses at Llangynidr (walk along the canal) is popular or there's the Vine Tree and the Bridgend Inn by the river in Crickhowell.

I've only been to it on a day ticket and found it very laid-back, my kind of festival!
