On the other end of the scale, I was very impressed by Comets website the other day. Exceptionally fast and smooth search results and display.

I particularly like the way the photos lean to the left 🙂

He probably thinks it is great too. Still, it comes up on page 3 of a Google search so it isn't too bad in that respect I guess.

TBH I prefer that to some of the bolloxy photographer sites that get linked to on here all too often.
It has all the information you need on the one page including proper contact details. Sure the colours are a bit on the odd side, but as a site to get basic information across it works pretty well.
And you don't have to scroll down several times to see all the information, because the top is full of bolloxy (word of the day in case you were asking 🙂 ) 'design' features.

Each to their own - it is a taste thing after all. But it is badly built and very inaccessible / unusable too.

unusable too.

You can clearly see the information it is trying to provide - why is it unusable?

Perhaps I am being devils advocate here, but there is so much tw@tish website design around built by so-called professionals which uses unnecessary technology just because it can. It's quite refreshing to see something simple that just provides information in a simple way.

The colours could do with a bit of work though 😆

well its usable but not exactly easy...
so many links on the front page, with no coherent menu structure.
The front page has a link that says enter website, so that page is just an intro!??!?! bit too much information
font and colours are crap, and go over pictures so hard to read.
The information is all over the place! I actually take it back about being usable, its dreadful!
