The World at War - I must have been 8 or 9 when I saw it first.
And people bang on about violence and gore on TV now!

John was the closeted gay on Thuunderbird 5, sent into outer space to orbit the planet Uranus, as a punishment for ever, having had a sexual relationship with Captain Blue off Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons.

Headfirst, yes we did get Marine boy in the UK.

Anyone remember the Robinson Crusoe serial that played regularly in the 60s and 70s. It was foreign made and badly dubbed, but looked like it was filmed on a real tropical island. It was on loads of times but I can't remember ever seeing the last episode where he was rescued, perhaps the Beeb didn't have the money for all of them.

Bloody Johnny come lately, I remember it when it was Indigo Pipkin back in the day. He left or died, and they carried on as Pipkins, but it wasn't the same, A bit like Taggart.

+1 Mr Benn, Kick Start,Dangermouse
-1 The Tomorrow People,Strange
Didn`t get potty Time as a kid , weird.
The closing sequence on Camberwick Green , brilliant!
Swap shop, swapped Subbuteo for a King Kong game with bits missing, shafted! but actually a good lesson to learn at 6.
Ivor the Engine and the best ever, The Clangers and the soup dragon. Happy days 🙂 oh and a little bit of "we will fix it" on Bagpuss.

I've never felt so generation gapped as when, while out for a ride, I shouted for a younger mate who was struggling with a bit of trail to "Just ****ing Junior Kickstart it" then, thinking that was a little too brief, recommended he play back the theme tune in his head. He had absolutely no idea what I was talking about.

Which is a shame, because it's brilliant advice.
