I just want to give Haglofs uk a public thank you. I have one of their softshell coats, and just before Christmas the zip failed. I emailed them, expecting them to say it's too old and out of warranty, but in fact they said 'no problem, send it in and we'll get it fixed, free of charge'. It came back today, as good as new and with some Nikwax thrown in for good measure. I think that's great service, so Vickie at Haglofs, thanks! I'd certainly buy your kit again with this kind of backup 🙂

Oooh. I've got a Haglofs shell with a zip that's just failed. About 5/6 years old - worth a punt?

Certainly worth asking. I was expecting a charge, and I'd have been happy to pay because apart from the zip, the coat was in great condition, despite being about three years old. So it was a nice surprise.

I had a very similar experience when the main zip went on my Spitz jacket less than a year after purchase.

However, in my case, Sweden sent the wrong size zip for the jacket repair, so Vickie offered me a brand new Spitz II jacket as I'd had to wait a while. I wasn't going to turn that down, was I? 🙂

I have Haglofs jacket, bought from UK retailer but on ebay, which when the hood drawcord failed a few months in, they refused to warranty, as they exclude ebay sales, said shop wouldn't budge either.....grrr

Mind, my new fleece is fluffy...

Patagonia replaced the broken pit zip in my stretch element jacket free of charge despite the jacket being 8 years old, they also reproofed it and replaced an elastic toggle cord on the hood, made the initial £300 cost worth it considering it's gave me years of use.

I'm also a member of the Vickie fanclub as she's helped me out a couple of times. Hagloffs kit is ace.
