I’m a regular attendee and organiser of corporate MTB days for clients + colleagues. With lots of similar events being put on these days I’m looking to step things up a bit. Anyone done one that’s a bit different / better?? Perhaps timed racing / mini enduro?

What a way to put you off MTBing. I'd quit if work made me go on a corporate MTB day.

Yeah, why ruin something fun by making it a ‘corporate’ thing.

Lake jump?
Pump track race?
Chainless DH?
Silly challenges (we did jousting on bike wth windsurf mast and large buoy hanging at an old outdoor centre).
Naked XC?

Bike orienteering, quite easy to set up yourself, great fun. Also gives you a day off work to 'set it up' 😏

Last thing I want to do is mix work with pleasure, more so having to do fun stuff with people I might hate. MTB to me is a way of getting away from all the stress, particularly from work.

HR!!! Guess that would be one way to handle redundancy.

For the OP. What sort of corporate groups? Think main issue would be dealing with people who dont normally cycle. If you focus on what mountain bikers would like (leaving aside us killjoys who loath the idea of corporate fun days) it could end up being a tad challenging/unpleasant.
Pump track might work though.

This is quite relevant to me.
We need to make some money for our bike park/pump track charity and I am looking at doing corporate volunteering days. We've had one big local company come and volunteer for a day every year and give us a donation after - it makes up about 30% of our annual running costs, which is amazing. So my task is to try and get a couple more companies to do the same through their CSR.
But I'd also like to make it fun too.
My issue is that I've never worked for a big company, or any that do these kinds of "teambuilding" days.

Does a few hours of building gabion baskets/litter picking/tree planting etc followed by some MTB riding and taking BMXs or jump bikes round a pump track sound like the sort of thing companies would pay for their staff to do for a day?

We've got a few people from our board who can run the day, and I have a qualification in volunteer management - so I think we can provide a good "service" of keeping people engaged and without them getting bored which is what I would worry about

The OP asked for something different. 😂

Whatever you do OP, don't turn up on your Enduro gnar sled in full regalia and start hitting Strava lines in front of colleagues.... No-one likes a show-off.

But is that better or worse than turning up on a rigid singlespeed in jeans and a t-shirt and hitting strava lines in front of colleagues?

All probably better than hitting on your colleagues.

Let's be honest, both of those are better than a full lycra outfit...

As above I doubt a MTb day for the uninitiated is much fun, unless it's an e-bike mtb day (or uplift type start with mild trails, not some DH course).. that would be awesome for non-mtber's. Just a thought.
