Why is this the case?
🙂
Grater surface area, innit?
Grating "excites" the cheese.
Grating roughens up the cheese molecules and activates the micro surface, just like in the Pantene advert.
If Oakley made cheese.....so much marketing bs!
warm cheese = tastier
Also thinly sliced cheese is way tastier.
thinly sliced Parmesan, cracking stuff
it's cheesy magic
Best done with a veggie peeler
QI said its because of the greater surface area.
Also thinly sliced cheese is way tastier
Yes. Grated, or thinly sliced cheese is bliss.
Blocks of cheese. Yuk.
For all these years I thought it was just me. Interesting to learn otherwise...
Same as squashing bread innit
Is it tastier when melted?
Same as [s]squashing bread[/s] glass bottled Coke innit
Also helps it get up to room temperature, making it tastier.
Does this mean I should grate crispy bacon?
I read somewhere that chimps eat bananas side on cos they taste better.
Might be bobbins; my experiments (not involving chimps, rather myself noshing nanas) have, thus far, been inconclusive.
QI said its because of the greater surface area.
or would that be the [pun] grater [/pun] surface area
All cheese rocks.
I don't think it is. Grated or thinly sliced is not tastier.
However room temperature cheese is, as above.
