Ely Brown and Rainbow Hunter. On previous office sweep form, they'll probably have 8 legs and 4 eyes, just not evenly distributed.

No office one but I've put my traditional bets on.

Shutthefrontdoor 8:1

First Lieutenant EW 20:1

Rubi Light 50:1

Conscientious refusal to partake in our office sweep.

I'm very much against horse racing, especially today's event.

I wonder how many times the captive bolt gun will be brandished....

Also, my traditional annual "abuse the cashbacks and free bets" has possibly run its course, signed up to betfair this year (£12.62 cashback for a £7.50 stake, refund if your horse doesn't finish) but looking at the other options it seems I'm now into Terrifying Serious Gambling Websites, where they don't really bother with comprehensibility, colours, or usable user interfaces, the online equivalent of a large man called Trev who'll break your legs if you don't pay up in time.

So I have Balthazar King each way, because I like the name and you can't go too far wrong when you're betting -£2.62.

If you want any pointers, you could do worse than this

A friend of a friend who's a sports journo. I've put his tips on for about 6 years now. I've only finished down once, and had a few very very lucrative Nationals. I'm hoping for another one today 🙂

£15, split over 8 horses, and not one came in the top 4.

Many Clouds, at 40-1 at one point, will have earned some people a decent payout.

1 Many Clouds (L P Aspell) 25-1
2 Saint Are (P J Brennan) 25-1
3 Monbeg Dude (L Treadwell) 40-1
4 Alvarado (Paul Moloney) 20-1

I had Many Clouds in the office sweepstake. 🙂
I didn't go and put a proper bet on anything though.

I too got Many Clouds in our work sweepstake. £50 in the bag from a £2 stake, not bad!

I won £23 on Monbeg Dude, now if my bets all pay out for Roubaix I'll have made a tidy profit!
