seriously shite movie... how TF did that get such good reviews?

8.1 on IMDB. how?

fortubnately it was only an hour-forty long, but it didn't go anywhere, was disjointed, inane....

save yourself the hassle, don't watch it.

I normally hate films but I absolutely loved it. Might even buy it so we can watch again.

Seemed very promising initially, but was ultimately a five star meh, for me.

Hmmm; it's a lovely film, but entirely of the style of the director. If I didn't care for explosions & robots, I'd stay clear of Transformer movies (& Michael Bay films in general), no matter how good the reviews.

I guess you could always just stop watching it when you realised you didn't like it.

As mentioned above I find most films complete drivel.
Having enjoyed this film what should I try next?

Utter pish. TBH I've never liked any of Wes Anderson's films so I wasn't expecting to like this one and I was right.

Mind you, I thought it was better than Moonrise Kingdom but then that piece of nonsense set the bar very low indeed.

Just watched it having read this thread before. Both mrs R and I really enjoyed it, so e really good performances too, Ralph Fiennes was fantastic.

I thought it was great, quirky but very watchable.
Don't think I fit in here though, I thought Fargo was a pile of crap and didn't think much more to it's recent spin off... 😉

People who don't like Wes Anderson films must not get them. Grand Budapest Hotel was brilliant. Then again, little has been as good as Rushmore.

I'm glad so many people enjoyed it. I found it disappointing. The quirkiness was excellent but I found that apart from one or two occasions it didn't really warrant being described as a comedy - the audience at the Clapham Picture House when I saw it sat mostly in silence. An interesting story might have helped to make up for the lack of humour, unfortunately one wasn't provided.
