Always used to be easy to post images I have on Facebook on here or other sites. Just open the image, copy the url and paste it here.

I'm not sure what Facebook have done but I can no longer seem to do that. All you get is some crazy long address, ending I think in PHP, not .jpg that doesn't work.

Wondered if anyone knew how to get around it?
The albums are set to public incidentally(though I'm sure it used to work anyway even if not)

Cheers.

the php version is what you get from the popup bit of facebook - if you get the image on an actual page instead (although I can't remember how to do that) the URL is correct still.

Use flickr if you can much better for hosting as Facebook re-directs tend to get blocked by a lot of peoples work filters, so [s]we[/s] they just see a little box with a x in it 🙄

The main problem with Facebook is that the URLs don't last forever, so look at 1yr old threads and the links are broken.

But if you want to do it:
View the image
go 'fullscreen'
Right-click on the image
Firefox: Copy Image Location. Chrome: Copy Image Address

Then do the usual [IMG] thing on here.

Nope.....
😕

Edit - Oh weird, it does work... though the actual URL I posted is some massive long thing that looked like it wouldn't...

It's got a string after the .jpg, but it's still a jpg.

OP its my view facebook don't want you to post just the image as they make no money, they want the page reference somit loads the whilepage / redirects you / helps their advertising etc ...

For I guess a similar reason Flickr did something similar so I stopped using it, now on Photobucket so I can post images.

It's a Lassoo Apso Pug-cross or suttin. It's name is Lula and it has the most unfortunate underbite...

That's weird how it's working now. I am on my laptop though, but I'm sure it doesn't work on my phone.
Re: Dropbox etc. I do use Flickr and can post images from there no problem, but sometimes you just want to share a photo that you just put on FB, but don't really want on 'proper' photo sites...
