Right gardeners 100th from borders with a question about hedges.
I have a headge, predominantly beech but with a bit of privet and Holly thanks to the neighbours. As summer comes round there's a gap under of about a foot which will get weedy. Hedge is pretty much north south so the area under it is pretty shaded and obviously dry. I tried bee bombs a couple of years ago but nothing came of them. What can I seed, sprinkle, drop n forget to fill the gap preferably with a bit of colour.
