Dog ran off during morning walk this morning and it took me ages to find him. Not helped by the fact that it was still pretty dark and he's mostly black, but he does need his runs off the lead, being a sighthound. It occurs to me one these new fangled tags might help, has anyone used them, even if not on pets. He's likely to never be more than half a mile from me, but could easily be more than the 400ft range of the Loc8tor pet collar in the shops, since he does 100m in about five seconds.
