Hi, gf is thinking about a gps watch to record runs a bike rides. Needs to get a location quickly and ideally can connect to a phone to send route to Strava. She has a computer but it is never on so connectivity to phone a requirement.
Any suggestions for a watch solution cheaply?
Cheers.

garmin vivoactive, been down at £125 a couple of times on Amazon over the last couple of weeks. Not cheap cheap but reportedly very good.

Most of the really cheap ones won't connect to a phone.

Garmin Forerunner 220 works nicely. Has Bluetooth, so can connect to a phone, and upload to Garmin Connect/Strava. It is pretty quick to get a GPS fix. You can get it for about £120.

Or the new Forerunner 25, not sure if its available to buy yet.

Forerunner 220. Both the wife and I use them. Never had a problem and do everything you ask and more to help your GF get the most out of her running

Tom tom multi sport owner here.

Been pretty cheap on sport pursuit lately.

Pairs with phone via Bluetooth (transfers are a little slow), battery lasts abuot 8 hours with gps on, several days without.

Happy with it.

Maybe use the strava app or map my ride on the phone. I saw that my local aldi still has the gps bluetooth watch for 59.99 I think.
