when i download the info from my geko 201 to my pc, some readings are different to what it actually says on the gps.
ie. moving time on gps 3hrs, download to pc and it says 2hr 50 min.
Max speed etc also different, so which is correct?
I reset all data before a ride.

Could well be buggy software - check you're using the latest firmware for the unit (you can download it from the garmin site).
One example fix that was introduced to for my etrex-venture
Changes made from version 2.60 to 2.70:
1. Improve distance calculation in odometer.
