So looking to up my training for a return to the Marmotte next year. Might as well use Strava to push me on to work harder on the ups but don't fancy spending big bucks.
Have gone through two Polars in the past few years. One killed by a car running over it after a crash and the 'Puffer did for another.
Not got a huge budget (sub £200) so what does the STW collective recommend?

I'm waiting delivery of a Bryton Rider 35T with HR & cadence got it from sportpursuit for £103.80, according to reviews is on par with a Garmin 500 so I will be a very happy bunny if this is the case.

I can completely recommend the Garmin 210. Well in your price bracket and an absolute doddle to set-up and use.

If you just want HRM then look for the forerunner 60 on eBay - you can pick them up 2nd hand for about £50 (at least I did - just wanted a simple watch / HRM for the gym and boot-camps that I wouldn't stress about being knocked about)...
