Have just had delivery of 'as new' iPad Air. Was factory reset, I've plugged in my Apple ID and wifi passwords (both accepted) but it simply refuses to open the App Store or iTunes.
Have googled this issue and seems I'm not alone, although the myriad of fixes I've read haven't worked. This includes hard resets, signing out of Apple ID and back in again, adjusting the clock forward manually and resetting to automatic time.
Interestingly (perhaps), despite having wifi connection the clock refuses to automatically adjust to correct time and date.
Anyone any experience of this issue?
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
Take it Apple they'll probably give you a new one.
if its as new (refurbished) then last time I called them, the online Store wasn't the same as (read, wouldn't authorise a swap) the shopfront Store...
had issues with my ipad after my windows 10 update. Was advised to check my laptop clock time it was set to US format 11/04/15 not 04/11/15/. changed this to UK and now it works 😕
No never had such an issue. Have you tried logging into your account from a computer ? It's possible whoever "reset" the iPad to make it "as new" screwed the process up. There is also confusion about what a reset is, many people just switch the machine off or do a reboot. If you wish you can do a whole factory restore by connecting it to your computer and iTunes on the computer. This will totally wipe the iPad.
As an afterthought is it connected to the Internet properly, can you briowse web easily ?
thanks jambalaya, i'll try the computer connection thing this evening. I have wondered if the previous owners reset has left something hanging somewhere.
I didn't even try connecting to Safari - I was to embroiled in the app store / itunes affair.
Gave up and watched Grand Designs instead.
Thanks again, reset via iTunes on laptop has done the trick.
XL clash of clans from here on in thanks to you x

Auto-adjust requires location services to be on. If you've turned it off or got it selectively enabled check Location > System Services and see if Setting Time Zone can access your location.
