I have just recently purchased the gopro hero basic model (the one without LCD screen or wifi). I am planning on taking it with me when I go skiing, does anyone know of a way of viewing the footage whilst I am away without resorting to taking a laptop with me. I had hoped I would be able to plug the micro sd card into smartphone/hudl and view footage but I havn't found a way yet.
Plus gratuitous link to my first play around with it, nothing very exciting I am afraid.
cheers
Check if your devices have USB OTG support. Cables are a couple of quid, use a card reader or buy a dedicated USB OTG card reader.
Apparently it can be done with a cable an App and an SD reader ...

"Card reader micro USB OTG"
Punch that into amazon search and buy one that costs buttons but gets 4+ stars.
Thanks for the responses I downloaded the free app mentioned in the telegraph link and have been able to view the videos directly from my sd card after inserting it into my phone!!
I've got the basic Gopro too and my Hudl2 plays play the videos straight from the card.
