Time spent searching the forum reveals that GoPro's seem to be the camera of choice on STW. I've been saving hard and I'm going to plump for the GoPro Hero 6 but does anyone have any recommendations on where to purchase from or rather where who does the best deals?
I've spotted some tempting offers on Amazon but the sellers are EU but not UK based. Would that put you off? Are the camera's likely to be different or is their any known issues with warranty when bought from outside of your home market?
I'd go second hand. Plenty of barely used ones on eBay and for the most part the hero4 was good enough. I<span style="font-size: 0.8rem;">ronically given the name a lot of the 'pro' stuff got dropped for the 5 so for commercial stuff its still what we use.</span>
Caveat: all go-pros are rubbish compared to a normal camera and I've not used a 6.
Interesting. I did consider the both the Hero 4 Black, Hero 5 Black and Hero 5 Session but after watching a lot of vids online comparing the 3 I decided on the 6 for it's greatly improved image stabilization. Was hoping it would eradicate the need for a Gimbal or similar. Mainly buying to use on the mtb and motorbike.
