I was very close to that Barmouth shot on Saturday.

However I've not got much to add - I've spent countless hours visiting what should be great scenic locations but come away with crap photos.

EDIT however, you've posted actual scenic photos that are just posted on streetview. I feel that's cheating, cos they are not from the actual streetview car which is purely documenting the view.

This is only moderately cheating - it's the standard Google backpack but at a location that's deliberately designed to be as scenic as possible:

Slight hijack, but does anyone know what these wiggly lines in this bit of moorland are? They are located in the area of Coity Mountain, South Wales and don't appear on imagery earlier than 2018.

And these other ones? God's doodles?

Cheers.

@bonni interesting!

There's no grouse shooting there but gamekeepers sometimes do weird stuff like that for drainage.

There was a project a while back on Waun Fach using wool fleece to try to regenerate the peat but that wasn't as intricate as that.

@csb

Yes, it could be drainage related as it’s boggy in parts. The only other things of note nearby are wind turbines and an old coal mine (Big Pit Museum), plus lots of motocross trails.
