I need to write a professional CV but it’s been close to 7 years since I’ve done one and things have changed a bit since then.
Are there any resources people would recommend for tips on how they should be written, presented and formatted these days?
For context, the sector is property consultancy.
Cheers!
What's wrong with your 7 year old one? Can't it be updated a bit and some old stuff stripped off? There is nothing to be gained from those online things apart from lightening your wallet.
I wasn’t looking to pay for anything, just any good websites or videos anyone had come across that show what a CV should look like. I have no idea if my last one was any good, I went through a recruiter and she didn’t use it she basically took it and tailored it for me and sent it to her contacts and I ended up getting a job that way so what exactly she sent them I don’t know.
Chat GPT - other AI tools are available.
Came to say use AI.
Sadly.
I work in recruitment and, sadly, ChatGPT is the answer. Everyone else is using it so you might as well too.
There's a good guide on formatting in here - along with some sound advice on thinking about jobs you might actually want to do. It's a register and download thing but there's no spam. https://www.obvious-choice.co/
Thanks all, not averse to ChatGPT, way of the world these days and all.
Thanks Hannah I will take a look.
