Britannia Inn in Elterwater lots of camping in small carparks nearby I,ve parked in the NT one opposite just be prepared for the parking nazi at 9am
Failing that Staveley Mill Yard for the Hawkshead Brewery lots of parking and no hassle with Wilfs for breakfast
Skyeside Camping park has 5 hard standing spots for vans that are members of the caravan club just a few yards from the on site pub. Only ever been there in the teaming rain but seemed nice enough.
Sykeside - is that Brotherswater? That.
Wasdale Head Inn, you always get a few campers outside.
Have a look at search for sites. Should find something that takes your fancy
Great Langdale NT site....ODG, Stickle Barn Tavern.
Skyeside for Brotherswater Inn.
2nd for the wheatsheaf
wheat sheaf looks good, but nearer the M6 (further east) might better
Swinside inn near Keswick, mill inn at mungrisedale Ā (ring both to check camper OK)
Pooley bridge has pubs and parking and is 20 mins from the M6 at Penrith
Great Langdale NT siteā¦.ODG
This.Ā It's busy though and youĀ can't pre-book, get there early.
is it far from a pub,Ā My Mrs has a broken ankle and is still on crutches, so need to be within hobbling distance
Church House Inn in Torver near Coniston is very nice and has a caravan site out back.Ā Not exactly Keswick/Carlisle but sits at the foot of Walna Scar for a quick bit of MTB excellence.
