Unbeknown to us my work phone has been charged two pound a week for 18ish months by some shysters running one of those short code phone number promotions. Apparently I clicked on a link? Unfortunately I've not been receiving a picture of "today's hot honey" or anything else so was totally in the dark. Spoke to ee and they said basically all they can do is to tell me to send stop to the number and then apply to them for a refund.
Spoke to them and they agreed a refund, asked for an email address and nothing else to pay it into PayPal.
I now have £156 showing as cleared in my PayPal account....
I logged on using a the PayPal web page and not via the link they sent!
Is this just too easy?
Bump for the morning crew.
What's the name of the 'company'?
I can't believe I've been sending you all those photos and you've never looked at them. 🙁
they tend to be good at refunds because they know that the regulator can shut them down if they aren't seen to be operating wholly above board. Taking the cash and not delivering the pictures is probably a breach of their licence.
It was horoscopes apparently, I'll shall therefore remove the cash from the PayPal account!
What did the horoscope for today say?
Surely the answer's there....
