If you save the hearts (weird behaviour if you ask me) then theyre great thrown into a salad.
As Stoner says, boil them and dunk the leaves in vinaigrette. There's nothing weird about saving the hearts btw, unless it's to put it in a salad. Just pull off the "hairy" fibrous stuff and eat what's left with vinaigrette.
it's weird if you dont gorge on them after eating the leaves. 😛
well done for keeping them. All ours died in heavy frost this spring 🙁
Ah right sorry, I thought you were suggesting throwing away the artichoke hearts when you advised not saving them. I thought what a silly thing to say 🙂
