[Closed] Global shipping program lost item conundrum

Buyer in Denmark files a claim stating he hasn't received his item five days after GSP state the delivery was successful. It took almost 7 weeks to get there due to covid 19 shipping restrictions/delays.

Apparently, as soon as a GSP item leaves the UK, they accept full liability for damaged/lost items so why have they frozen his/my payment? I'm sure this happened to me, in the past, and the payment was removed from my account, never to be seen again. Checked my current balance and I'll be watching it, like a hawk, to see if they remove the hold and restore my funds.

I don't get why they put that payment on hold if, ultimately, they'll have to cough up.
