Hmmm not good - brings to mind his England midfield partner Ray Wilkins.

Hope he’s ok!

I remember one of the most enjoyable premiership matches ever was when we were 3 nil down at half time to Hoddle’s Spurs. We came out in the second half and absolutely battered them! Finished up 5-3 to us.

As the final goal went in the camera panned on to a close up of Glen Hoddle with a look on his face that said ‘what the **** just happened?!’

I thought he may have had the ambulance  drop him off at Mrs Drewerys house for a bit of "Faith healing".

Responding well to treatment apparently, according to 5 Live, so fingers crossed he’s going to be ok

I was at the 3-5 Spurs Manu game ... although we lost, it's one of the favourite games I've ever witnessed live.

Two things stand out from game for me.....  3-0 up and I started my one and only football chant....

Sully, what's the score? Sully Sully what's the score" ....

Neil Sullivan was our goalie at the time and he always had good banter with us lot behind the goal in th Park Lane.

And the second thing was I could have told Glenn what the "£$% had happened .... David Beckham took the game by the scruff of the neck and said I'm going to win this.... Wow !! what a second half performance by him..... It's amazing when a single player can do that only seen is a few times... Beckham again but for england against Finland at Anfield ...  second half he had an arora that said stop messing about give me the damn ball.

Anyway ...best wishes Glenn

That man u game was reflective of the fact he could only afford ageing players so spurs ended up losing first half leads as the old geezers got knackered.

I bet the stress of the england job is no good for the heart. Could have been a different story if he picked le tissier the only player around with equivalent skills to mr hoddle.

Sounds like he us on the mend but no more keepy uppy in the studio. Glenn was a big head but has mellowed with age.

Apparently a sound engineer in the studio where Glenn was working, used a defibrillator. He was then rushed to hospital where he's very ill but responding to care.

Genuine questions to those of a more footballing disposition who might know - did his reputation recover inside football after his sacking? Is it known if he is still a born again christian or was that just a phase he was going through? Is he known to still hold those views or is he just better at keeping them to himself these days?

Sorry, just trying to work out how much I gaf about his current situation or if a gallic shrug is the correct response.

He still has a reputation as an excellent coach and man manager but the public perception has been tarnished since the England job. Consequently most clubs wouldn't look at him for a public facing role
