cant see a thread yet so might as well start one. been watching this afternoon and really impressed with Fat Dog, i realise ive actually seen them supporting Viagra Boys and enjoyed them but they werent heard of then.
wet leg didnt impress me much, bit boring. currently watching English Teacher, ive liked what ive heard of them so far.
what're your hits and misses?

Hmm, going to see them in Munich in November, hopefully on an indoor stage they're better...

Given I've bought tickets for them it's pretty clear I like them 🙂
Just finished so stuck BBC Glasto on the telly, just in time to catch end of Lewis Capaldi's set. Given his backstory it rapidly got very dusty here! Crowd seemed to giving him a lot of love and positive vibes, was great to see 😀 looking forward to Alanis shortly and Turnstile over the weekend. Right, where's my beer?!
Not seen any yet and off to pub shortly, but really looking forward to Self Esteem.
The CMAT set was good and quite bonkers. Looking forward to Wolf Alice and Snow Patrol on Sunday evening.
oh sees currently smashing it. love to see 2 drummers in sync.
Yep, just trying to get my 9yr old daughter into the osees, bit too much for her though! 🤓

Nowt I want to see on the “big” main stages except for kneecap, on the smaller stage I’ll try and see floating points, four tet, optimo, Marie Davidson, chaos in the CBD, Erol alkan, modeselektor, Antony szmierek.
Whether they’ll all be shown on the online feed is another matter
Lorde was a good opener this morning.
I enjoyed Wet Leg.
Alanis was irritating so I turned off half way through her set.
Blossoms have been my favourite so far.
Now watching English Teacher on BBC4.
Liked Wet Leg. Now enjoying BADBADNOTGOOD. Looking forward to Four Tet later.
Alanis was irritating so I turned off half….
It’s weird - I usually like quirky rocky female vocalists and she is intelligent, interesting to read and writes a reasonable tune buuut no, you’d have to pay me. I guess she appeals more to women, my wife saw her in Amsterdam this week and said she was amazing..
Personally Biffy effin Clyro are more my thing.
Daughter and me just watched Wunderhorse and enjoyed a lot.
Trying to watch Biffy… first song .. hm ok.. second ooh that’s good! 3rd one, ****in awful and had to turn it off, Weird 🤣
- Badbadnotgood too right awful and that drummer can't sing
Biffy were superb.
Busta Rhymes was good fun. Paunchy these days but still a big clown. After that i went for Denzel Curry but between him and Busta i started to tire of being told to put my mother****in hands in the air.
Caught a bit of Floating Points but functional club techno doesn't really work so well on tv!
And yes I had been looking forward to BadBadNotGood too, but switched over to them, saw about 30 seconds of milquetoast noodly jazz suede loafer yacht rock and went straight back to Busta instead!
Tired: yacht rock
Wired: wearing a gold chain so enormous you could use it to moor an actual yacht
Never really got them before, but the Blossoms set was good.
1975s - okay, but really, really not headliners. Mid-afternoon at best.
Apparently he’s the best song-writer ever.
err, has he seen who’s headling tomorrow?
Been watching some bits on BBC2/iplayer. Currently watching Fatdog loving the energy they're bringing, will deffo try catch them at rock and roll circus! Looking forward to Prodigy on Sunday too.
Watched Wunderhorse earlier - pretty impressed, and now watching Loyle Carner, very chill...
....I've been educated by my 18yr old who is out partying post exams
I am enjoying Loyle Carner very much.
Gracie Abrahams is on catch up on the other stage. Nice to have an act that can actually sing. Fantastic voice.
Loyle Carner is being brilliant. I’m pleased for him that he’s getting this headline. Always comes across as a good guy. His performance is just great.
Wet leg and English teacher.
Both fantastic.
+1 for Wet Leg, they look like they're enjoying their musical fame / makes me jealous I was never in a band at that age.
the 1975 sound like Butlins.
the 1975 sound like Butlins.
I consider them more “Pontins”, as dull as watching beige emulsion paint dry on a hospital waiting room wall
Quite enjoyed Alanis’ actual performance, but what the flipping heck was the 5 min of intro video of self promotion before she walked on. I thought she was more switched on than that.
Self Esteem - I just love her so much. Absolute perfection. Yes, I am a total 6music Dad.
1975 - I’ve kinda been blissfully unaware of them, other than seeing the occasional thing that would suggest Mr lead singer thinks he is the coolest man on earth. Was therefore expecting something a bit edgy - hell no, turns out it’s the blandest, luke warm, lightweight shite imaginable.
Also enjoyed Wet Leg, Franz F, Maribuo State & Four Tet.
I'm just curious, how much does a pint of beer in a plastic cup cost there, these days?

Exactly the amount you’d expect it to. The amount that sends the Daily Mail into a froth, but is totally standard for any event in 2025.

About a fiver, then? that's not too bad, considering the price of the tickets.
Whoops!
I wasn’t listening to the 1975, but Kylie😂😂😂
It went from Alex Holcombe announcing the 1975 on stage, to kylie.
Now that I’m listening to the 1975, they sound like fairly accomplished musicians. Albeit, a touch lightweight.
Still, their oeuvre is within the realms of blue-eyed soul, and the sax is reminiscent of Spandeau Ballet.
wow, self esteem! how good was that!!
heard her before on 6 music and thought meh, but just caught last nights set and she was captivating, i couldnt take my eyes off the whole show.
Spent the evening with BlueSky and the #Glastonbury feed. Biffy Clyro's tribute to Brian Wilson was touching. Lewis Capaldi on catch-up was heart-warming lots of love and support for him.
Any one else seeing his relative on with Franz Ferdinand think Maxx Headroom?
Lad summed up the 1975 the other night - "He originally claimed to be from Manchester, but it was actually Wilmslow" 🙂

out of touch 6 music (grand)dad here..... i know blue sky is the alternative to mr musk, but what do you get with the glasto feed? is it just something on your phone or can you stream sets that BBC arent showing to your tv?
EDIT: whats wrong with dialect/slang? had 's u m m a t' autocorrected to 'something' for some reason....
Thought the 1975 sounded like if an inxs covers band and maroon 5 had a love child
Anyone know where the four tet set is on iPlayer?

I assume he means just monitoring the chat to see what people are saying about what's going on.

It's really seeing her perform live that makes it click. I'm a rabid fan, but that came from seeing her at a festival a few years ago.
Also really enjoyed Self-Esteem. I didn’t realise she sang so much 😂. The whole set up worked really well - like choreography without looking too choreographed.
Both bands look very grounded TBH. If English teacher stick around they will be huge
+1 for Wet Leg, they look like they're enjoying their musical fame / makes me jealous I was never in a band at that age.
Odd edit thing 😄going on .
Self Esteem - musically not really my cup of tea but thoroughly enjoyed watching their performance; that's why I keep banging on about live (OK, I know it's iPlayer here) - as an event would have been belting to be there.
And whoever said Fatdog up there.....thanks, I'm enjoying this a lot and it'll be banging out of my sensible family car stereo for a few weeks now. Breakdancing violinists, whatever next.

yeah really good live arent they.
just seen the iplayer line-up for the west holts stage, looks like theyre not going to be showing kneecap.
just waiting for bob vylan now......
Brandi Carlile was excellent. She deserved to be on a later timeslot on one of the other stages, but she went down well with the crowd.
Just waiting for bob vylan now......
an ambitious crowdsurf starting somewhere near Bath, but fair play, pulled it off.
Bob Vylan is playing a blinder of a set, I expect the BBC are hovering over the cut feed button
Really enjoying Bob Vylan. Just seen Kneecap wont be broadcast live at 4pm (available on iPlayer tomorrow). Would they really say anything that Bob Vylan haven't already (already broadcast live) other than BV probably don't have the same profile...from a different vibe, thought Beabadoobee was excellent too...
I've seen them a couple of times, he doesn't mince his words.
Nothing has wowed me yet. Enjoyed Biffy right enough.
Anyone know where the four tet set is on iPlayer?
Now on iPlayer under ‘New & Trending’.
Lucy Dacus 😍
Thought bob vylan where excellent. Wierd how the swear beebing started for a bit halfway through and then gave up a short time after.
Nova Twins! Excellent use of that bass effects board...love it when players take the bass into a new direction. Cracking band...

i wasnt aware of any censoring at all, maybe i missed it.
amyl and the sniffers now 🙂
Nothing has wowed me yet. Enjoyed Biffy right enough.
The second sentence tells me nothing I'm likely to recommend is going to change the first.
Loving Amyl & The Sniffers right now 👌
I doubt Kneecaps set will be available on the BBC later, rather sweary and lots of chants regarding kier starmer, Gaza, Palestine etc. I watched it through a tik tok live feed that had 1.7m viewers, so thanks to helenshearling from wales
Anyone know where the four tet set is on iPlayer?
On Freely TV, it’s one of the boxes, so I clicked it and it was joyous. Not much visually on tv really, but with the soundbar cranked up, sorted. 🙂 The extremely nondescript The Frames were on live I think, so it was a welcome relief
Love the Red Arrows flypast as Pulp closed with Common People! Approx 5 mins after they flew low over us in north Wilts...Jarvis and co have still got it.
Perhaps the Kneecaps set will be shown with the words spoken by an actor. Politicians are still stifling free speech.
kneecap posted their “intro” video to their Glastonbury set, only 1m 40sec

Bob Vylan had their backs. You'll need to search your socials but it's there.
Meanwhile Raye is as good if not better than last time.
Wow to Raye.
Watching it live. Is it just me or is the mixing awful? It sounds like it's being sent down a drain pipe. Dirty and muddy and flat.
Red arrows flew over my house
Osees from yesterday they killed it,
@Flaperon it's got better as the set progressed, but cack to start with.
Loving Ezra Collective👌
Love watching the iPlayer coverage with signers, the Pulp spike island lady is as compelling as Jarvis!
Ezra mix definitely got better as it went on.
Pyramid stage is a lot clearer on the iPlayer UHD feed as well if you can get it on your TV.
The line up ain't exactly great this year, especially with 1975 headlining.
Tom Odell was very good. EC likewise while I walked the dog. The 1975 were poor. And I’m a fan.
Is Raye quite as good as she thinks she is?
Her cellist was wigging out. But all these classical musicians have to show "there's another side to me".
