Where's the best place to park?

According to the BC site

Unfortunatley there is no official spectator parking available at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome / Emirates Arena.

Will be driving up on Saturday for the evening session.

Been wondering this myself. Might just suffer the train.
There are parking places, I read about an overspill area at Celtic park:

Can't say for sure but it is right across from Celtic Park which has a pretty decent home crowd every other week. If you can't park the stadium then I would suggest Parking on London Road and walk along. Works for me when going to Paradise. 😀

There is a free bus service all weekend to the velodrome from Buchanan street bus station, plus there is a multi storey car park next to the bus station. HTH

There have been a couple of threads about this, the info coming out from the organisers is pretty poor. Car Park info on the website is quite old and they are no responding to email requests for more detail. No phone number that I can find to ask.

Very little detail on catering facilities as well.

Free bus, sounds ideal. Is there a bar in the velodrome?

Emirates Arena
1000 London Road
Glasgow
0141 287 4350

commonwealtharena@glasgowlife.org.uk

contact info for the venue, as it comes under the arena as a whole, not too sure what the catering or bar provision will be like but i will be taking my own as a crappy burger and coke for £12 (i.e Hampden style) will not be happening

That's not the official website, so I wouldn't rely on any of its content.
