Anyone know why some venues stipulate this, even when accompanied by an adult?
Daughters really want to see someone live but I'm wondering if it's worth the risk as they're not quite 14

I think, but not sure, that it's to do with the venue having a bar actually within the auditorium. If the bar's in a separate room, then fine.

Have you phoned the Venue and checked?
Is it The Academy in Manchester?
Don't recall ever turning anyone away accompanied with an adult or checking their age.
