Any reason not to buy these?

Reviews are non existent.

unknown hub (replacements)

I've got them on my top fuel, 80kg's doing ok, others have smashed the rears up i believe..

I normally run an insert on the rear and I'm a shade under 80kg, so I'm quite tempted.

Yikes that is cheap

I looked at these a few weeks ago but decided a bit too narrow for me

So the other day I bought the Hunt xc ones which they've got reduced to £750ish (man-maths)

Worth it for the warranty I think, and (mainly) very positive reviews for them

I'm now thinking of just getting a pair of Pro 5 DT Swiss 391 hand built wheels for about £570.

Almost too much choice on wheels it would seem.

Mind you, I've had crappy experiences of installing tyres tubeless on the last three DT Swiss rimmed wheelsets I've had.

Maybe the Hunts then?

391s were super easy with barzos and mezcals for me tubeless. Same with my 421s and 481s

I find that Schwalbe and Maxxis tyres to be a relatively loose fit on DT Swiss rims, and had to add extra layers of tape to get a seal. With Stans rims that was never an issue, in fact they were the opposite and were a tight fit. Shame that Stans rims dent so easily IME.

Ah, I've not tried either of those other than schwable CX tyres.

Anyone interested in these they have an extra 15% off via their eBay shop (code TRY15) - tempting as another set of gravel wheels..

Looks like it depends on the freehub type - XD is same price (before discount) on both.

oh interesting, i wasn't aware of that, which unfortunately is more expensive than the MS freehub, so better to buy MS via the website, XD via ebay

Just going by aesthetics, these look very similar to the wheels sold on aliexpress by the likes of elite wheels etc. Pillar spokes, straighpull centrelock own brand hubs with 'DT ratchet' internals.

not to say that they are going to be rubbish, but more a potential source of spares!

Just be warned Sport & Leisure will do nothing if the back wheel splinters on a small rock.

I decided to go with a pair of Hunt Wide XC wheels, which were in the sale. I got them for less than £400 and even got myself a pair of new tyres cheap too.
