So I had a new security door put in. Great! £40 per spare key?! WTH?

I can’t get the motorbike in or out as the sill is too high and the door quite low.

I thought of buying wedge/ramp but it would have to be low to let the door swing open and then raised to get the bike in. A permanent option is unlikely I guess.

It looks like it’s going to be a wedge I slide out to get the bike out and then put the wedge away I guess?

Ideas welcome please!

set the ramp further back from the door so that its able to swing freely then place either a flaming hoop, a row of double decker buses or the Grand Canyon in between.

I did a ring of fire jump as a kid then a wheelie showing off, crashed and needed 6 stitches in my leg where the cylinder cooling fin embedded in my leg. I was 6 years old...

It’s an R6 Yamaha. Don’t want to jump that!

Should have bought a Triumph Tiger Enduro back in the day.

Great suggestions though LOL!

Great idea!

Learn better bike control and just take it over the sill under power.

Any chance of a photo?

I'm hoping that this sill you are on about turns out to be the size of the "Hilary Step."

Are you SURE it's too big to be overcome with a wee bit of 20mm ply-wood?

When I was younger I had a motorbike and sidecar in the living room of my third floor flat. I just don't think you are trying hard enough.

I love the fact that your new security door stops you getting the bike out.

Well problem solved.

I got hold of secondhand garage door.

Needs paint though.

Now both doors work and just flip and over the garage door and I can wheel out.

Loved the ideas and videos though lol

So you had a garage you already kept a mbike in.
Were concerned enough about its weak security to pay for a new high security door to be fitted.
Then found the new door made it too hard to get the bike in or out.
And have resolved the 2nd problem by fitting a classically low security garage door that also needs a repaint.
Are you not know in a worse position than before you decided you had crap security back at step 1.
If this is a win in any way your clearly David Cameron and have decided a referendum on EU membership is a worthwhile gamble as potentially destroying the UK is on balance worth another few years in power as PM.

Lol the new big door is better than broken one and I can bolt to the ground now.

The new side door came with a wheelchair ramp but it’s going to mark the door frame and weaken it eventually. I did tell the company who surveyed and installed that I had a bike. But was always a risk of catching or scuffing the mirrors.

All sorted now.
