Time's moved on and I've got some old IT kit that is just getting in the way*

What the best/easiest way of disposing of it?

* 3 Dell Poweredge rackmount servers, a few CRT monitors, tape drives, etc?

Drill through the hard drives, drop off at local council recycling depot (also known as the tip).

Freecycle will likely take most of the stuff away if that's an option, but destroying the drives is sensible.

Drill through the top of the HDD and squirt in expanding foam or mastic. Or, if you have access to it, use an oxy/acetylene torch on them. Or shred them.

Or, rather than getting paranoid about a load of shit that is probably ancient history anyway, run DBAN through it for a few passes and let someone else get the use of the drives.

As said, Freecycle or Gumtree will likely get the, shifted, tip will take it or a computer charity if you have no luck.
