I'm hoping someone may know a trick or two! Dog has been sick on the hall carpet today (he seems ok now but I'm keeping a close eye on him), and left a stain on it. Our house is on the market and we have a viewing tomorrow, has anyone got any ideas on how to get it out or at least reduce the stain? The carpet is 100% wool so not sure what I can/can't use on it?

Cornflour all over it. A light brush 24hrs later. Hoover.

A mat over the stain while you have any viewings?

It's a pretty horrendous one, if it is.

You need a cleaner with a protein eating enzyme. Not generally available from supermarkets. Try google with the above and see what's available. I used to help a carpet cleaner. Do not use carpet cleaners from the supermarket they are rubbish.

our cat is regularly sick on our green 90% wool carpet.
Vanish carpet foam & a good scrubbing brush gets it out nicely

My husband has a wool rug. I have used all sorts of things for stains, but best by far is dissolving some washing powder/liquid in a bowl of warm water and use that to scrub. I don't use a brush, but a terry flannel that has gone rough over time from not using a tumble drier/softner.

Good luck
