My noddy understanding is there are two types:
1. Whole virus, where they mash up the real thing in eggs to make it milder and inject you with the yolk (or maybe the whites).
2. RNA, where they just program your immune system to recognise a specific part of the virus

It can be injected directly into the veins, or injected into your arse after dissolving it in water.
