Good work chap 🙂
Yep. Great result.
He had a basic game plan. Not to do the forcing. And it worked!
DeGale had no game plan if Groves did not force. And paid the price.
I bet Booth wishes he didnt cancel the bet now.
And Jimmy Mac needs to start looking for a new job this morning ...cos he will be dropped by Monday.
very tight decision IMHO and a draw would have been a fairer verdict IMHO
The bell helped groves at the end of the 9th or he would have been down De gale never looked like he was going to be decked.
good job it was over 12rnds and not about who looks the harder puncher then eh?
DeGale thought it would be an easy nights work ..and trained as such.
Close fight. But Groves put in the better work.
.
oops
An elbow and a shoulder from DeGale, with all the cuts coming from head clashes. He was very lucky not to be docked points. DeGale looked like the amateur that hadn't kicked on, lots of flurries of slappy punches that Groves was able to wear and land some heavy accurate shots in return.
Enjoyed it, was certainly absorbing to watch. Although I'd expected a different type of fight.
Adam Booth making a name for himself now. Not just his ability to determine the best way for his men to go about defeating opponents, but his ability to change the way his fighters think and stick to a game plan. I mean both Haye and Groves love nothing more than going toe-to-toe but that's them both stuck to a smash and grab, in and out type of fight for a full 12 rounds which I never thought I'd see.
Klitschko fight going to be interesting.
