You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Does anyone know if any UK based trading platforms allow to invest with the Euro as the base currency?
The base currency doesn't matter, where the equity is is what matters.
You could invest in, let's say VEUR, a Euro stock index tracker, in pounds.
Say it stays the same but sterling loses 10% against the Euro.
In this case your investment would go "up" by 10% in pounds.
Hope that makes sense.
AJ Bell or HL are always decent, but if I were you I'd stick to trackers and go with Vanguard. Of course in an ISA wrapper.
By "invest with" rather than "invest in" I'm going to assume your cash is currently in Euros or you plan on investing in euro denominated equities or funds, apologies if that's not correct.
Worth noting that ISAs can't hold or settle in foreign currency
I have accounts with ii and can hold & settle in Euros (and fund with by bank transfer) Other than that it's pretty sterling centric. You can view totals converted to various currencies, Euros included but I think it reverts back to GBP by default.
