Rats are a bit forgotten as the thing Geldof did before Band Aid, but they were the biggest punk/new wave band in their heyday and the first to get a No.1.

A band with some very strong tunes indeed. Somewhat let down by the persona of their singer.

My big brother had all their early singles on 7". She's So Modern, Mary of the 4th Form (hmm, what's that about??), Looking After Number 1, Rat Trap. Great pop songs.
