Have to buy a Garmin venu 2 plus v soon for someone, but a 2 second search show the venu 3 is “potentially” on the horizon, but as Garmin don’t strictly stick to a schedule like Apple it’s hard to know exactly when the 3 will drop.
Any chance someone on STW would have any insights into when it’ll likely be available?
Given how incremental the updates have been between Venu 1,2 and 2+, I'd probably not wait. Normally is just better battery life and a few rando sports added that you'll never use, or making calls via the watch if that's important.
Only thing they might include in the Venu 3 is training status, VO2 etc, which has only really been added to the more sport-orientated watches, rather than health-orientated like the Venu.
Cheers @goatkarma may not wait then, can hold off for a few weeks, vo2 max and the training status would be of value.
Reckon the making calls using the watch would be novelty value used once in a blue moon, fun nonetheless for the owner of this. Assume any watch making calls is using an eSim.
Does it have to be a Venu? I replaced a Fenix with a Venu 2+ and although the screen was nice, it wasn't nearly as good as the Fenix. Got rid of it very quickly
@kato yes it does, it’s not for me and they’ve already confirmed quite emphatically it’s a no to a Fenix or Epix 🙂
She already has a vivoactive 3 or 4, but I don’t believe Garmin will be releasing a vivoactive 5
