My edge 800 had decided not to connect to the PC anymore so on the off chance I contacted Garmin and they said they would replace it no questions asked. I have had the unit over 12 months. Googling the issue throws up a lot of similar issues so it would appear to be a common problem but fair play to them for not trying to worm their way out.

I like good customer service. It makes me happy.

From what I've read the USB port seems to be the weak link, this could be part of the reason for moving to wireless transfer on the 810.

They were happy to help me with an issue with my Garmin but its within warranty so sent it back to the shop. Always had good experiences with their customer services on a variety of Garmin units.
