Hi all, my new Garmin Instinct has stopped doing something, that something being telling me my heart rate, average pace and pace for the last km every km audibly if it's connected to my phone. My last watch didn't have this feature and this one seems like it was set up as a default setting from out of the box, however last week I failed to notice that it needed charging and it went into battery saving mode which seemed to disable a whole bunch of things to save power, including this feature, which I actually find useful seeing as my eyesight is so bad now that I can't usually see the reading whilst running! I've turned on everything that I can find but this hasn't come back.

Anyone know what I need to turn on to re-activate this feature?

Thanks.

Do a factory reset? Garmin online tech support is pretty good via chat on their website

Have you turned off "autolap" for the activity? (A quick test: start the activity, then press the bottom right lap button, if it tells you the pace etc, then the problem is autolap or lack thereof).

Might be Bluetooth switched off.

It's part of the battery saver mode, but might not be back on. Needs that permanent connection to talk to phone.

Don't discount Garmin randomness, my Fenix 6 will talk to me some days and not others without any setting changes, yesterday silent, today not, I can't figure it out.

If battery saver mode comes on, on my Garmin head unit, I have to then disable that next time I use it and it's charged back up.

It's this an option for you somewhere in the settings?
