I know there new, seen them online, they look a great shape/size and price doesn't seem to bad.
Anyone pick one up yet? main differences between the 20/25? is it just battery life 8 hrs or 10 hrs?
Link to strava via garmin software? anyone actually use one yet? or are they too new? I only ask as was thinking of getting one as I use my iPhone at the moment and its killing the battery.
Don't know if this helps you, but I looked at the Garmin 25 too, until I realised that it only does 'smart recording' rather than having the capability the do 1 second sampling recording. This made it a non-starter for me.
If you want a simple cycling computer to tell you how far you've ridden, speed, etc it's probably ok. But If you want something to accurately record where you have ridden on twisty tracks and accurately record that in detail, it's probably better to go for one of the better Garmin models (which I did).
20 looks a bit too basic
25 looks OK
Hard to justify for the cost when you need a 520 if you want a proper computer and a phone is better for just recording your ride.
It depends on what premium you put on having something visible on your bars over a phone in your pocket.
I'd say splash out on the 520.
Had a look at both as I'm currently GPS-less after my 800 went AWOL on holiday 🙁
Wanted something to use temporarily until I can afford an 810/1000 to replace it (travel insurance paid out but is only halfway there), decided a cheap Edge 200 was better than the 20 and cheaper! £59.99 from John Lewis last week and the same functionality of the 20. Will use it for my commuter bike once I get a GPS with maps for days in the hills plus it saves the risk of damaging my smartphone for the time being as I have an ancient Nokia for emergency calls. The only downside to the 200/20/25 apart from no maps is that they all do the smart sampling so aren't as accurate, depends if that's important to you or not really.
I'd have probably already bought a 25 if they auto lapped on position. Don't think the 200 supports Ant+ does it??
No, but it isn't a priority for me. I do have a HRM but I only used it on big rides which I'll take the replacement 810/1000 on, the commute is completely flat so the 200 will be perfect for that purpose.
