So, I’m nearly done rebuilding the front of the garage, and have two 7’6” wide holes to fill with doors. I’ve never bought a garage door in my life but the wrecked heavy wooden ones we had to drag across the ground are already in the skip and I won’t be putting anything on that needs painted every few years.
This garage is in the back of my back garden and not visible from the street, and hasn’t had a car in it in 20 years, though now it’s watertight and has an inspection pit, there’s potential for tinkering or a classic overwinter.
The budget options are up and over and roller shutter, at maybe £600 each. Are the cheaper roller doors reasonably secure? Sectional likely more than doubles the cost, to what benefit? Latham’s could be an option too, but seems overkill. Any recommendations, product or supplier, I’m in S. Yorkshire.
