Bit of advice please. In heavy rain, I get a fair amount of water coming into my garage. I bought a rubber weatherseal off ebay a while back, but it didnt help:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GARAGE-DOOR-HEAVY-DUTY-FLOOR-MOUNT-THRESHOLD-WEATHER-SEAL-DRAUGHT-EXCLUDER-/380420991585
I've realised that the rain is hitting the door and running down and behind the weatherseal, and under the door. The roller door doesnt go all the way up into the roller, so I'd like a lip to umbrella the water over the otherside of the existing rubber seal that I laid. I dont want to pull up the rubber weatherseal as it will pull up concrete with it!

My question is, what can I use for this lip and where from? Maybe large trunking or cutting square guttering to fit?
This without the rubber seal at bottom (and expense) would be perfect:

I've seen that metal strip before, but cant think what it is?
Thanks

You're supposed to put the rubber seal inside the door?

I have one and it's been fine even with a fairly poorly fitting door.

Maybe fit another behind the first?

I bought one from ebay and it works really well.

Some heavy duty rubber strips could be fastened in place.

As above - kinda guessing (without pics) that you've installed it incorrectly. 😉

The high side should be inside the garage

You can get lips to fit onto your door from screwfix that would hopefully overlap what you hve .... How did you fit your existing one ? Maybe a big flat wallpaper scraper and some heat would lift it ?

I've got the same as the one in your top link. It works really well. As has been pointed out, it goes inside the garage with the thin bit under the door and the hump flush with the back of the door. Mine still leaks a bit because I didn't use enough sealant on my very rough floor.. I've also run sealant down the edges like on the bath to try to totally sort it!!

I got the hump with leaves blowing under the door and ran a strip of Gorilla tape along the bottom of the door - still there 6 months later.

I was wondering about getting some older inner tubes, cutting them and slicing them into a strip and clamping them on to the inside door lip

Right then, Whats the best way to get the weatherseal off the floor without too much floor damage?

Towzer . Done that on a mates door inner tube , strip of ally and rivited to the door clamping the seal to the door

Tube and clamp on the inside of the door and rivets through from the outside ... Was an upandover door though

You could try a long bladed flexible knife (carving type), a saw, paint/wall paper scraper, a wire saw

Non guaranteed to work or not damage the seal, but seeing as it's not working anyway, what you got to loose?

try a hacksaw blade without the hacksaw or
strong sharp scraper and a hammer or
heatgun and scraper
non of these may work but worth a try
