Does anyone have any good recommendations for a decent company please?  Looking for an electric rollover door to be installed , and pretty much all of the popular companies seem to be 80% good reviews and 20% DO NOT TOUCH WITH A BARGEPOLE.

Located London just inside the top of the M25 J25 Herts/ Essex borders.

Thanks

Weirdly I was going to post exactly this question but for J27 Essex A12 corridor. Also interested in ballpark figures for a single door electric.

Had a Seceuroglide rollover from these guys about 5 years ago. Been faultless so far and happy with the fitting service. Based near Guildford. Think it was about £1700 fitted

I used these guys for an electric roller door last year. Excellent service and reasonable price, went with an Aluroll SecureRoll in the end with Somfy electronics. They do Hormann and other brands too. https://arridgegaragedoors.co.uk/

It does feel like a total minefield of dodgy dealers when you start looking into garage doors, but I've been very happy with the product and service we received.

Groves Garage Doors based in Basildon supplied and fitted mine.

Sectional Hormann lookalike to replace the old up and over (2 years ago). Was the best price we could find and his work was incredibly tidy.

No website but details are on Facebook and Google.

My next door neighbours up and over door broke so got a company in to give a new quote while they were there they offered to fix the metal cables and fix his existing door as they had the stuff in the van.

Probably a cash in hand job to the bloke supposed to give a quote but did a great job.

Sorry, doesn't help much.

My mum's got a roller garage door fitted that whenever it opens it makes a series of loud cracking noises. This is due to the heat of the sun on the plastic slats and as they're pulled up into a roll the slats unstick and drop slightly. The invoice for the work which she had carried out 4.5 years ago stated that the garage door was 'aluminium foam filled' so I'm wondering of she was supplied with a cheaper version than she'd paid for. Are these aluminium slats with a plastic coating does anyone know or will they be 100% plastic. It's a Europa compact garage door.
