Gamers would you expect significant discounts on Black Friday? I've never bought anything before and was wondering whether to hold off on a purchase till then, (Its a WII U, if its of any relevance).

Not even a Twix?

...and I wouldn't have thought so.

Asda are advertising Black Friday deals, I'd join the scrummage down there if I were you.

Although, as my daughter has just explained to me what Black Friday is, and its seeming complete irrelevance this side of the pond, I expect only token discounts.

Depends which side of the pond the OP is. And also South or north of the Canadian border, seeing as, IIRC, Canada has already had thanksgiving

Thanks all, I ended up getting a WII U using nectar points and paid the princely sum of £2.50. It seems that there is also a cyber Monday which might be a better bet for consoles and wotnot.
