haven't seen a thread here for a while,so thought i would do the right thing 😉
at the moment i am mostly playing a few great games.
lego city undercover (wii u). i have to admit that i love anything lego, and have loved all the lego games i have played (lego star wars complete edition being bloody awesome).
lcu is every bit as great as star wars. set in lego city,it's basically gta lego (but without the violence). there are plenty of things to keep you amused in the game, also the references to classic cop shows/lego humour are great. if you have a wii u and have yet to play it,i highly recommend it).
elder scrolls online tamriel edition (pc).
i must admit that i haven't really played much of this yet,but what i have has been very good.is it's own game, but with the elder scrolls lore.
tbh i could go on and on (seriously) but i'll stop there 😳
so what are you playing/enjoying atm?
Forza Horizon 2 - highly addictive and brilliant game. Also Destiny, only just bought it, pretty samey, pants storyline but still really enjoying PvP and PvE battles
Savage moon on the ps3 has taken over my life...... especially as I'm off sick...... tend to stick to one game at a time as else buttons can get a bit confusing .
Just about to start the original Red Dead Redemption on the PS3.
Gran Turismo still consuming my gaming time otherwise (about an hour a week at the mo!)
Next Gen still has zero momentum IMO - everything that has been hyped has been anticlimactic to say the least - fancy graphics that actually don't deliver past the promotional demos which generally run on more powerful computers that we consumers use - and frame rates never as good as we're led to believe - And we're constantly being told all these teething issues are to be resolved - feels like being a gamer in 2015 is all about being perpetually suckered by the industry - I'd also like some AAA titles that weren't so dumbed down that anyone can pick up a controller and be half decent in one session - the combat mechanics these days are generally designed to be idiot proof - Naughty Dog and the Coalition are the only studios I'm backing right now ..
Rome II Total War
Wargame Red Dragon
Battlefield 4
My current obsession is Life Is Strange.
It's an episodic story-driven game. At first glance it looks like the target audience is teenage girls as it's set in a college with a young female protagonist, but the whole thing centres around a near-supernatural coming apocalypse and time travel. It's really, really well done and I'm properly addicted. Episode 4 is out next week and I can't wait.
Just about to start the original Red Dead Redemption on the PS3.
I envy you. One of the best games of that generation IMHO, one of the few I played for 100% completion.
Installed The Witcher 3 the other day, not been able to play it yet. Just finished Metro Redux (both). The first was awesome, the second less so
just bought a PS3 and a load of games 2nd hand so...
me and the nipper are slowly working through lego batman
GT5 has been the main game I've been playing got a bit bored tho, big step between the middle races upto the higher level ones which I don't seem to have the cash or cars for.
Started on SW force unleashed last night, we'll see how that pans out.
ffxiii, dmc4 and mass effect 2 waiting in the wings.
I've got less time for the games nowadays plus I have to fight for control of the TV if I want to play on the console and I'm currently using a lot of my screentime for TdF highlights.
Would love to have a crack and more online stuff (elder scrolls, elite) but previous online play has shown that I get my arse kicked on level playing field games (FPS), so any game where you can pimp you/your kit, shirley I'm going to be cannon fodder...?
Spelunky
(Which at first glance looks like it's just a cheesy platform game, but has some of the best and most intricate system design I've seen in anything).

I kind of agree that there isn't a deluge of high quality stuff just yet, but it isn't like there is nothing to go round. Bloodborne on the PS4 is still sucking up my time, and is hard when you first pick it up (even as a Dark Souls player). But it's *awesome*.
Also - free this month on PS Plus - is Rocket League. Basically football with cars, but is so much more than that and incredibly fun, in a "just one more game... oh no it's 4am what happened" way. And if you think it sounds simple, have a look at this highlight reel from the beta a month or so ago:
Currently playing well trying to play:
Splatoon (Wii U) good fun for a blast, using the Nintendo Amiibo to unlock other levels etc..
Batman: Ak (Ps4) really trying to get on with this but I can't seem to get into the game like I have with previous batman games hoping a bit more game time should help this.
I'm waiting for the Early Access ARK to get at least some basic optimization so it's playable before getting into it more. Persisent PvP worlds likely won't hold my interest for long though, I don't have the time or enough friends that game these days to make it viable. Switching to PvE only is going too far the other way though.
First dabble with PC gaming and GTA V, it's pretty good, I don't use the first-person view much, but it look a lot better than it did on PS3.
It's just such a shame you seem to need to constantly arse about with it, frame rate this and detail that - I know that's half the fun of it, but it's all but a much - mine seems to look amazing, right up to the point where reflections or water in involved and it looks like crap, very jarring.
With the 3 year old
Rayman Legends
and a bit of SSX and some other demos I can't think of.
In the evenings it's:
Last of us (the girls bought me it for Father's day, it's great)
The Mrs is playing:
LA Noire
and playing a bit of
GTA WildWest
Always looking for more multiplayer games with little violence in them.
Worms+ 1995
Just upgraded to Worms Armageddon 🙂
Elder Scrolls Online currently is the most played one. I also bought Dark Souls II when it was on offer, forgetting just how hard these are so I've not got very far at all.
Waiting on Fall Out 4 and keeping an eye on Starwars Battlefield.
World of Warships up to Tier 3 at the moment with the St Louis cruiser which has lots and lots of guns.
Arkham Knight at the mo as I got it free with the PS4. SW Battlefront will be purchased when it comes out..
Borderlands 2 on my PC. I know it's an old game, but only just got round to joining Steam and looked to pick up some cheaper games. Love the cell shaded graphics style and the tone of the game. Also, searching for and collecting more and more extreme weapons is huge fun!
looking for a ps4 game after being obsessed with GTA V. thats kinds of run its course now so any tips welcome.
I picked up dying light for the ps4 this week after missing it at release, really enjoying it so far. Looking forward to until dawn at the end of August. Oh and I'm still addicted to resogun, easily my favourite ps4 game so far, survival mode is soooo good.
Dying Light is great fun. I must get back into that.
With the kids it's mostly Minecraft on either the 360 or Xbox one. I just started construction on a DeathStar on our XBO Star Wars world. It's gonna be HUGE!!! (and take forever 😀 ) PVZ Garden Warfare is a family favourite too, along with FIFA 15.
I don't play on my own that much these days and haven't bought any next gen titles so far. I've spent a bit of time on the two that came with the bundle - FarCry 4 and Shadow of Mordor, which are very decent games but i'm happy to take or leave them, which says a lot i think. I guess Zombie mode in Black OPs II would be my most played atm.
Looking forward to SW Battlefront and the latest Black Ops for the zombiezzzzzz
TF2 just for laughs.
Working my way slowly through Metro Redux, which is quite slow going.
At the moment, Pid. It's OK. Puzzles aren't overly challenging and there haven't been any moments where I've wanted to kill small animals yet, which I feel is something essential in a platformer (to have those bits that is).
The best game I've played lately is Ori and the blind forest. Very, very pretty and really fun, think I'll replay it once I've finished pid.
Pid looks right up my alley, ta for that.
Been playing a lot of Arma 3 both the multiplayer and wasteland mod.
Witcher 3 and for chilling a bit of Elite Dangerous.
Bloodborne and dark souls 2 there is no time in my life for anything else
Alien Isolation for me at the moment, interspersed with a bit of Dying Light or Wolfenstein: Old Blood. Just finished off Metro 2033 Redux.
Desperately looking forward to X COM 2 though.
World of tanks on the 360 - 4 days till I fire it up on the xbone and lose my life.
World of warships tier 4 - it's still beta but there's a wee gem of a game in there. Very tactical with the right team.
Wipeout Fury HD
NFS The Run
Quell (on phone)

Desperately looking forward to X COM 2 though.
+many.
I've just started the Call Of Duty game (the one with Kevin Spacey in), I'm working on the new COD game, so research 🙂
Also been on GTA5 a lot too.
battlefield 4 on ps3
after 2 discs just randomly stopping and freezing i gave up and downloaded a copy from ps store. dont get much time but half an hour a week makes me realise im crap but enjoy it never the less.
Installed snes9x on my amazon fire tv. So working my way through....
Yoshi's island
Zelda
Final fight
Super mario all stars
That's me set for some time i reckon.
Working my way through The Talos Principle.
Absolutely fantastic game. If you've got a reasonable gaming pc and you like portal (who doesn't) then you should definitely check this out. It's on special offer on steam at the moment I think
Splatoon getting a lot of play here. Love it, but the skills are a bit rusty - not played a first person shooter in 20 years.
