Hi,
My Fenix 3 has finally died so am looking at a replacement.
Seeing as the Samsung Galaxy watch 4 is coming soon there are some decent offers on the 3.
I have an edge 1030 for bike duties and will mainly be using the watch for running, strava, komoot route following and using the smart watch functionality.
Does anyone have any real world experience? Is it any good? I see the battery is not as good as my Fenix but that´s not a major issue. Will I regret the change?

My wife had a Galaxy watch 2. I'd hope they'd have improved it sauce then.
Interface is clunky, battery life is woeful.
It's definitely more of a lifestyle smart watch than Garmin's offerings. But that suits a lot of people. Did I mention the battery life? It's just rubbish.
Not a competitor or really in the same sector as a Fenix, IMO.

Do you want it to do something different to the fenix? You can pick up a fenix 5 pretty cheaply now the 6 is out

just to add ive just got a fenix 6, its nice but i think its a bit too big on my tiny wrists. I think the vivioactive hits the sweet spot

I've got a Galaxy Watch 3, battery is fine but the HRM is garbage. It's been back to have the sensor replaced, still does the same thing - flattens the curve massively. There support site states that it's sweat or skin colour or tightness of the wrist band.

I'm back to using my Mio Fuse which just works.

I wouldn't recommend.

I think they have re-done the OS and the UI for the 4, along with Google, so it's miles better. For this reason I would not get a 3 as it'll be the old system and you will lose app support etc, possibly rapidly.

Thanks for the replies. I think I´ll pass on the 3 and look for a similarly priced Garmin.

Depending on the Fenix you have there is 3 sizes.

For those of us with skinny wrists don’t discount the 6S in any of its flavours.
For some reason which can only be size related Garmin seem to aim this one at females (it’s the only one with mensural tracking/logging out the box iirc) but the size is great imo and I have no issue using the maps (Pro version).
Quiet a few of the long term reviewers on YouTube preferred the smaller size in the end too so certainly worth considering.

Hiya,

I have a Fenix 3 what happened to it? Did the battery die? If so you can get kits and replace the battery itself. On a note there are good deals on the Fenix 5 and doesn't seem to be much benefit to getting the 6 instead...
